Fourth DIGITEC Project Progress Meeting

On 1 April 2022, the fourth and final progress meeting of the DIGITEC project took place in the Parador de Ciudad Rodrigo, Salamanca.
At this meeting, the project progress was presented by each of the partners, the current status of the project and the objectives of the DIGITEC project were met.

Success at the DLT Fablab on Blockchain

On 30 March, the DLT Blockchain Fablab was held as part of the training activities of the DIGITEC project.
This event took place in Íhano (Portugal) and had the purpose of developing training activities for the transmission of knowledge in blockchain and advanced digital technologies.
The Fablab held in Íhano (Portugal) was carried out by TICE. Activities and challenges were carried out to solve challenges on sustainable agriculture, rural development and fair trade, as well as the problem of product and food waste. DLT HEDERA infrastructure was used for this series of activities and challenges to ensure the smooth running of the event.
The objective of this event was to collaborate in certain blockchain developments focused on sustainable agriculture, rural development, fair trade and the problem of product and food waste in order to value and create tools to improve the agri-food sector.

Successful Hackathon and Fablab on Blockchain and Advanced Technologies

On March 30, the Hackathon and Fablab in Blockchain and advanced technologies were held, framed in the training activities of the DIGITEC project.
This event had the purpose of developing training activities for the transmission of knowledge in said digital technologies.
Carried out in the facilities of the I+D+i Multipurpose Building, in Salamanca (Spain), it was organized by the BISITE research group. The Hackathon, organized in collaboration with the Pedro Nunes Institute (IPB), took place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the participants had to develop Smart Contracts that optimize or solve a current problem. Subsequently, the Fablab was developed from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., in this last challenge the students were asked to develop a platform where to apply the solution to the challenge posed in the morning.
The objective of this conference was to collaborate on certain blockchain and computer programming developments, and in this way assess, together with teammates, the economic and legal viability.

Hackathon and Fablab DIGITEC on Blockchain

The DIGITEC project, as part of its training activities, is organising a hackathon and two fablabs on Advanced Digital Technologies and Blockchain on 30 March. The aim of these events is to develop training activities for the transmission of knowledge in these digital technologies.
The hackathon and the fablab will take place in the R+D+i Building in Salamanca and the other fablab will be held in Ílhavo. All three events will feature activities related to blockchain.
In the event that will take place in Ílhavo, activities and challenges will be carried out to solve challenges related to sustainable agriculture, rural development and fair trade, as well as the problem of product and food waste.
At the meeting, which will take place in Salamanca, hackathon participants will be able to choose the project they want to carry out, and will focus on the analysis of the requirements of the platform. In the fablab, an interface will be developed to show the use of these smart contracts.
The target audience is students and blockchain enthusiasts. The events are free of charge and will be held in person on 30 March. To participate it will be necessary to register at any of the following links:

Successful DIGITEC Conference: "Business Opportunities through Advanced Digital Technologies"

The DIGITEC conference "Business Opportunities through Advanced Digital Technologies" took place on 15 March in the framework of the project and was a great success. It was attended by the different members of the partnership, SMEs from strategic sectors, such as the agri-food sector, and ICT SMEs.
The conference gave an opportunity for the exchange of ideas or matchmaking, as well as the possibility of brokerage between the attendees. In the same way, there were different presentations for the transmission of knowledge on the digitisation of the agri-food sector, the work of the DIGITEC project and the open innovation tool, the Marketplace. In addition, a round table was held with the participation of companies from Castilla y León, representing the supply and demand of advanced technological solutions for the agro-industrial sector.
The main objectives of the conference were to promote interregional collaboration in the field of advanced digital technologies, with the main stakeholders in the areas comprehended by the project (Castilla y León and central Portugal), and to publicise successful cases of implementation of advanced digital technologies in the agri-food industry, as well as to disseminate the main results of the project, among which the open innovation tool, called the Marketplace platform, stands out.

DIGITEC Conference: "Business Opportunities through Advanced Digital Technologies"

On 15 March, the dissemination day "Business Opportunities through Advanced Digital Technologies" will take place in the framework of the DIGITEC project.
The objectives of the conference are:
- Promote interregional collaboration in the field of advanced digital technologies with the main stakeholders in the areas of action of the project (Castilla y León and central Portugal). The day will serve as a matchmaking event and will count with the collaboration of SMEs from strategic sectors (agri-food sector) and ICT SMEs. To this end, the event will feature bilateral meetings with the speakers, as well as the possibility of brokerage between attendees who register on the "public list of attendees".
- To publicise success stories from our Community in the development and implementation of advanced digital technologies in the agri-food industry.
- To disseminate the main results of the project, including the open innovation tool called Marketplace platform.
In addition, the conference includes a round table with the participation of companies from Castilla y León, representing the supply and demand of advanced technological solutions for the agro-industrial sector. This will allow these companies to share their experience and knowledge of new technologies and the advantages and barriers they have encountered when implementing them.

DIGITEC takes part in the Intelligence for Maintenance Tour - Porto

DIGITEC was part of the "Show Partners" space at one of the Intelligence for Maintenance Tour 2022 events, which took place in Oporto on 17 February 2022. Intelligence for Maintenance Tour 2022 is a series of international events dedicated to promoting the technology and innovative minds that make up the community of maintenance and facility management professionals.
The aim of this event was to discuss, celebrate innovation, solve today's problems and prepare for tomorrow's challenges. The space provided by DIGITEC gave the project the opportunity to showcase itself in an environment of innovation, in which different advances and positions were shared, allowing the project to spread even further.

DIGITEC participates in the BeCommerce Cross-Border Summit in Brussels

On 10 February we were present at the "BeCommerce Cross-Border Summit", an internationally renowned event that works on advanced digital technologies and blockchain focused on the ecommerce universe.
At the event, held in Brussels, we were able to share first-hand the progress of our open innovation tool developed within the DIGITEC project as a clear exponent of the digitalisation of our region.
Professionals such as Bart Fimmers, Manager e-commerce strategy at FedEx; Wouter Desmit, Manager European Cross-Border Market at eBay; Freyia Han, Senior Research Executive at GfK or Mark Harrison, Head of Markets at IPC, also shared with us the latest advances that our tool can benefit from to further advance its effectiveness.
In addition, Sofie Geeroms, Managing Director of the BeCommerce organisation, congratulated us on the development of this type of tools that favour the boost needed by organisations that, in frontier territories such as ours, must be supported for the sake of their future competitiveness.
It was a useful day in which our researcher Javier Parra was able to participate. Thanks BeCommerce, a good event for the dissemination and enrichment of the DIGITEC project.

DIGITEC participates in the CYL-HUB Launching Event

On the 4th of February, DIGITEC took part in the CYL-HUB Launch event that took place in Valladolid. This meeting took place on Friday morning and brought together SMEs, startups and freelancers, among others, to share knowledge and how-knowledge about innovative technologies.
The CYL-HUB, created with the aim of connecting the nine provincial ecosystems of Castilla y León to create synergies between them, was presented at the Launch event. The union of the regional territory has not been its only aim, it also seeks to enhance and develop possible collaborations at European/international level.
DIGITEC has attended because of its commitment to boosting digital transformation in the region of Castilla y León and Northern Portugal.

Second Progress Meeting of the DIGITEC Project

DIGITEC Day: Advanced Digital Technologies in your company

On 20 October 2021, the dissemination day "Advanced digital technologies in your company" was held within the framework of the DIGITEC project, with the participation of the different partners that make up the partnership of the project in order to explain and make the project visible. In addition, the open innovation tool was presented, showing the listening companies everything they need to know if they want to participate, as this marketplace seeks to connect companies that offer and demand advanced digital technologies and blockchain.

2nd edition of the course "Development of Technological Capacities for the Industrial Application of the Internet of Things".

The DIGITEC project, as part of its training activities, is organizing the 2nd edition of the course: "Development of Technological Capacities for the Industrial Application of the Internet of Things". This free course will address current topics such as Cloud Computing, Big Data and collaborative robotics, all of them focused on their application in IoT.

Sucesso no DLT Fablab em Blockchain

No dia 30 de Março, realizou-se a cadeia de Blockchain DLT Fablab como parte das actividades de formação do projecto DIGITEC.
Este evento teve lugar em Íhano (Portugal) e teve como objectivo desenvolver actividades de formação para a transmissão de conhecimentos em cadeia de blockchain e tecnologias digitais avançadas.
O Fablab realizado em Íhano (Portugal) foi levado a cabo pela TICE. Foram levadas a cabo actividades e desafios para resolver os desafios sobre agricultura sustentável, desenvolvimento rural e comércio justo, bem como o problema dos resíduos de produtos e alimentos. A infra-estrutura DLT HEDERA foi utilizada para esta série de actividades e desafios para assegurar o bom desenrolar do evento.
O objectivo deste evento era colaborar em certos desenvolvimentos da cadeia de blocos centrados na agricultura sustentável, no desenvolvimento rural, no comércio justo e no problema dos resíduos de produtos e alimentos, a fim de valorizar e criar ferramentas para melhorar o sector agro-alimentar.

Hackathon e Fablab bem sucedidos em Blockchain e Tecnologias Avançadas

No dia 30 de março decorreu o Hackathon e Fablab em Blockchain e tecnologias avançadas, enquadrado nas atividades formativas do projeto DIGITEC.
Este evento teve como objetivo desenvolver atividades de formação para a transmissão de conhecimento nas referidas tecnologias digitais.
Realizado nas instalações do Edifício Multiusos I+D+i, em Salamanca (Espanha), foi organizado pelo grupo de investigação BISITE. O Hackathon, organizado em colaboração com o Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPB), decorreu das 9h00 às 14h00, os participantes tiveram que desenvolver Smart Contracts que otimizassem ou resolvessem um problema atual. Posteriormente, o Fablab foi desenvolvido a partir das 15h. às 21h00, neste último desafio foi pedido aos alunos que desenvolvessem uma plataforma onde aplicariam a solução ao desafio proposto pela manhã.
O objetivo desta conferência foi colaborar em certos desenvolvimentos de blockchain e programação de computadores e, desta forma, avaliar, juntamente com colegas de equipe, a viabilidade econômica e legal.

Hackathon e Fablab DIGITEC em Blockchain

O projecto DIGITEC, como parte das suas actividades de formação, está a organizar uma hackathon e dois fablabs sobre Tecnologias Digitais Avançadas e Blockchain a 30 de março. O objectivo destes eventos é desenvolver actividades de formação para a transmissão de conhecimentos nestas tecnologias digitais.
A hackathon e o fablab terão lugar no edifício de I+D+i em Salamanca e o outro fablab será realizado em Ílhavo. Todos os três eventos irão apresentar actividades relacionadas com a cadeia de bloqueio.
No caso que terá lugar em Ílhavo, serão levadas a cabo actividades e desafios para resolver os desafios relacionados com a agricultura sustentável, desenvolvimento rural e comércio justo, bem como o problema dos resíduos de produtos e alimentos.
Na reunião, que terá lugar em Salamanca, os participantes da hackathon poderão escolher o projecto que desejam realizar, e concentrar-se-ão na análise das exigências da plataforma. No fablab, será desenvolvida uma interface para mostrar a utilização destes contratos inteligentes.
O público alvo são os estudantes e os entusiastas da cadeia de bloqueio. Os eventos são gratuitos e serão realizados pessoalmente no dia 30 de março. Para participar será necessário registar-se em qualquer uma das seguintes ligações:

Conferência DIGITEC bem sucedida: "Oportunidades de Negócios através de Tecnologias Digitais Avançadas"

A 15 de Março, realizou-se a conferência DIGITEC "Oportunidades de Negócios através de Tecnologias Digitais Avançadas" no âmbito do projecto, que foi um grande sucesso. Estiveram presentes os diferentes membros da parceria, PMEs de sectores estratégicos, tais como o sector agro-alimentar, e PMEs TIC.
O dia serviu para realizar uma troca de ideias ou de matchmaking, assim como a possibilidade de corretagem entre os participantes. Da mesma forma, houve diferentes apresentações para a transmissão de conhecimentos sobre a digitalização do sector agro-alimentar, o trabalho do projecto DIGITEC e a ferramenta de inovação aberta, o Marketplace. Além disso, foi realizada uma mesa redonda com a participação de empresas de Castilla y León, representando a oferta e procura de soluções tecnológicas avançadas para o sector agro-industrial.
Os principais objectivos procurados foram promover a colaboração inter-regional no domínio das tecnologias digitais avançadas com os principais interessados nas áreas de acção do projecto (Castilla y León e Portugal central), e divulgar casos de sucesso de implementação de tecnologias digitais avançadas na indústria agro-alimentar, bem como divulgar os principais resultados do projecto, entre os quais se destaca a ferramenta de inovação aberta denominada Marketplace platform.

DIGITEC participa na Intelligence for Maintenance Tour - Porto

A DIGITEC fez parte do espaço "Show Partners" num dos eventos da Intelligence for Maintenance Tour 2022, que teve lugar no Porto a 17 de Fevereiro de 2022. Intelligence for Maintenance Tour 2022 é uma série de eventos internacionais dedicados à promoção da tecnologia e mentes inovadoras que constituem a comunidade de profissionais de manutenção e gestão de instalações.
O objectivo deste evento era discutir, celebrar a inovação, resolver os problemas de hoje e preparar-se para os desafios de amanhã. O espaço proporcionado pela DIGITEC deu ao projecto a oportunidade de se mostrar num ambiente de inovação, no qual foram partilhados diferentes avanços e posições, permitindo que o projecto se espalhasse ainda mais.

DIGITEC participa na Cimeira do BeCommerce Cross-Border em Bruxelas

A 10 de Fevereiro estivemos presentes na "BeCommerce Cross-Border Summit", um evento de renome internacional que trabalha em tecnologias digitais avançadas e em cadeia de bloqueios centrada no universo do comércio electrónico.
No evento, realizado em Bruxelas, pudemos partilhar em primeira mão o progresso da nossa ferramenta de inovação aberta desenvolvida no âmbito do projecto DIGITEC como expoente claro da digitalização da nossa região.
Profissionais como Bart Fimmers, Gestor de estratégia de comércio electrónico na FedEx; Wouter Desmit, Gestor de Mercado Transfronteiriço Europeu na eBay; Freyia Han, Investigadora Sénior na GfK ou Mark Harrison, Chefe de Mercados na IPC, também partilharam connosco os mais recentes avanços de que a nossa ferramenta pode beneficiar para avançar ainda mais na sua eficácia.
Além disso, Sofie Geeroms, Directora Geral da organização BeCommerce, felicitou-nos pelo desenvolvimento deste tipo de ferramentas que favorecem o impulso necessário às organizações que, em territórios fronteiriços como o nosso, devem ser apoiadas em prol da sua competitividade futura.
Foi um dia útil em que o nosso investigador Javier Parra pôde participar. Obrigado BeCommerce, um bom evento para a divulgação e enriquecimento do projecto DIGITEC.

A DIGITEC participa no evento de lançamento do CYL-HUB

No dia 4 de Fevereiro, a DIGITEC participou no evento de lançamento do CYL-HUB que teve lugar em Valladolid. Esta reunião teve lugar na sexta-feira de manhã e reuniu PMEs, startups e freelancers, entre outros, para partilhar conhecimentos e saber-fazer sobre tecnologias inovadoras.
O CYL-HUB, criado com o objectivo de ligar os nove ecossistemas provinciais de Castilla y León para criar sinergias entre eles, foi apresentado no evento de Lançamento. A união do território regional não tem sido o seu único objectivo, procura também promover e desenvolver possíveis colaborações a nível europeu/internacional.
A DIGITEC participou devido ao seu empenho em impulsionar a transformação digital na região de Castilla y León e Norte de Portugal.

Dia DIGITEC: Tecnologias Digitais Avançadas na sua empresa

A 20 de Outubro de 2021, realizou-se o dia de divulgação "Tecnologias digitais avançadas na sua empresa" no âmbito do projecto DIGITEC, com a participação dos diferentes parceiros que compõem a parceria do projecto, a fim de explicar e tornar o projecto visível. Dia DIGITEC: "Tecnologias digitais avançadas na sua empresa"

A 20 de Outubro, o dia de divulgação "Tecnologias digitais avançadas na sua empresa" terá lugar no âmbito do projecto DIGITEC.
Os objectivos da conferência são:
- Para divulgar o projecto DIGITEC
- Apresentar os resultados obtidos até agora, tais como: a ferramenta de inovação aberta denominada plataforma MarketPlace e os resultados das auditorias realizadas às PMEs em Castela e Leão e no Centro de Portugal ao nível da transformação digital ou do desenvolvimento de tecnologias digitais avançadas.
Além disso, a conferência inclui uma mesa redonda com a participação de empresas de Castilla y León, que liga a oferta à procura. Os objectivos são que as empresas possam partilhar a sua experiência e conhecimento das novas tecnologias, a sua implementação e as suas vantagens, bem como divulgar os benefícios de participar no projecto DIGITEC.

O projeto DIGITEC, como parte das suas atividades de formação, organiza a 2ª edição do curso: "Desenvolvimento de Capacidades Tecnológicas para a Aplicação Industrial da Internet das Coisas". Este curso gratuito abordará temas atuais tais como Cloud Computing, Big Data e robótica colaborativa, todos eles centrados na sua aplicação em IoT.

PRIMEIRO HACKTHON DIGITEC/ IOT DIGITAL INNOVATION HUB

O Projeto DIGITEC junto com o IoT Innovation Hub, organizarão o primeiro Hackthon multidisciplinar em tecnologias avançadas e blockchain.
O evento no dia 17 de outubro nas instalações do Edificio Multiusos I+D+I das 16:00 as 23:00.
Poderão participar todos aqueles que estão interessados em novas tecnologias digitais, principalmente estudantes de Engenharia Informática, Administração e Direção de Empresas, Economia e Direito.
O objetivo deste evento é que os participantes possam fazer parte de um grupo multidisciplinar composto por estudantes de diferentes áreas afim de colaborar no desenvolvimento de projetos que utilizem blockchain e programação de computadores, de desta forma elaborar junto com os companheiros de equipe, a viabilidade econômica e legal dos desafios propostos.
